2017 Software Now Available

SeedSense 2017.0 software is now available on the website and through FieldView. New features include:

• A new display layout option to allow more information to be viewed on the dashboard screen
• A new backup feature that saves all configuration data, planting and harvest data, coverage maps, prescriptions, and boundaries to a USB to easily restore a display

SpeedTube feeder wheels are now being manufactured with a new material. This material increases performance in colder conditions with larger round seed. Because this material change provides little improvement to performance in normal planting conditions, you do not need to proactively update all units in the field. We will, however, be sending you a new set of feeder wheels for each SpeedTube that you have received so that you are able to support any customers operating in these conditions. These new feeder wheels will be shipped to you at no cost, beginning in early March. Going forward, new SpeedTube kits will include the new wheels.

Part numbers will not be changing:

• Front (Large) Feeder Wheel: 768432
• Rear (Small) Feeder Wheel: 768433

In addition, the following components are wear parts that should be replaced as needed:

• Feeder Wheel (For Wear)
• SpeedTube Housing Insert
• Drive Pulley
• SpeedTube Cover and Housing
• SpeedTube Drive Housing Insert
• SpeedTube Guard

Refer to page 18 of the SpeedTube operations manual for annual maintenance items and visual indicators of when items should be replaced.

Some instances of small seed grinding between the disk and the housing on ME5 meters with eSet installed have been reported. To address this issue, a shim kit has been developed that is installed under the insert and lifts it closer to the disk. This kit is part number 720394 and can be ordered through your SSA free of charge if needed through December 31, 2017. There are four shims to a kit. New meter kits will include the shim. The shim is shown below.
